Household Bank put me in collections then took me back and setup a hardship plan. They (verbally) agreed to remove the over limit fees for 6 months as I paid it down. I had stopped paying them because the amount I could pay would have no affect with the fee for over limit. After paying the account off as of 8/3 with a BT to BOA 0% until 4/05 I see I'm still being reported as a Charge Off then back to 120 days late. This account is posted twice on EXP and TU as HHLD BANK and on EQU as HOUSEHOLD BANK Under HHLD Bank TU shows Paid or Paying as agreed and no history at all, and EXP shows Current, was a collection account, insurance claim, government claim or terminated for default with 30 day late 1/04 60 day late 2/04, Charge Off 3/04, Charge Off 4/04 , 120 day late 5/04 , OK 6/04 and OK 7/04 Under HOUSEHOLD BANK it shows no reporing info for Exp and TU for the months and 30 day late 2/03, 60 3/03, 90, 4/03, 120 5/03, 120 6/03, and 120 7/03. I would like to send the following letter to Equifax and Trans Union , what do you think? Dear Sir/Madame: I am writing to dispute an entry that shows on my credit report. Account <number here> for Household bank is in error. To the best of my knowledge this account is current and was never late. Your firm shows it late from <late period> . I am requesting you remove this inaccuracy from my report and provide an updated report to anyone who asked for it in the past 90 days, except when it was requested for employment in which case I request you go back two years.
