New to this site and this is my first post but to make a long story short, I used to have good credit but managed to screw it up via some bad investments and general stupidity. What I am looking at now is a 400 charge off, a 5000 AMEX in collections and a car reposession with a 4000 deficiency. I also have a closed Citibank acct with 3000 still owing. Needless to say, my current credit score is hosed. I'm ready to fix this stuff as best as I can. Through my job I have legal insurance so I'm wondering if I should get a lawyer to try and negotiate settlements for these bills? I'm still in the learning stage of how to begin to repair my credit so any suggestions anyone has would be greatly appreciated.
