Please, if anyone knows I really would like to know. I have three disputes in for equifax (been two weeks) and I was wondering if my pg reports should show a notation of 'disputed'? If it doesn't, is this a violation? Also, if they don't veryify within the 30 days should I send a letter stating the section of the FCRA stating they have 30 days and demand a deletion? Thanks, Mike
BUMP I have disputed a bunch of TLs directly with the OCs and on my reports from PG I can't find ANY reference to "dispute". Where would this notation appear? In the consumer comment field or the subscriber comment field?
PG is NOT a CRA. Since PG is a third-party reseller of credit info, are they required to report EXACTLY how the three CRAs are required to report? Since lenders aren't looking at PG at all, what difference would it make whether they report an account as being in dispute or not? Besides that, the PG "score" is totally worthless where applying for credit is concerned. Please correct me if I'm wrong here. I've noticed a number of inconsistencies regarding how PG reports its information. Example: PG was showing a number of EQ accounts as "open" when they were in fact closed. I called PG to find where the trouble was. They informed me that they got their information from the "main EQ database". Meanwhile, EQ CreditWatch is reporting everything correctly. MyFico also pulls from the same database that CreditWatch pulls from. So, what is the "main EQ database", and why is the info different between the two services? After dealing with the same brain-dead CSRs at PG, I dumped their service.
Re: Re: Should pg reports show 'dispute' Important information. So, basically PG doesn't do a good job of correctly pulling the CR and should therefore not be relied on. You think the Credit Xpert score is that far off from FICO? I agree about the CSRs being brain-dead. ugh!
To be quite honest REEQ MAIN DATABASE) I don't know about the main database but check this out. Equifax claims that they were looking at the main database but they couldn't see the negative information that I was disputing. After several attempts, privacyguard advised me to send them a copy of the privacyguard report and ask them to correct the information and update their database. Here's the creepy part: my new equifax report now has the negative (Previously deleted) information from the privacyguard report, that equifax couldn't see in the first place to even put it in dispute. After Equifax put the items on my report and I called to dispute it, they claim that my file was split and I couldn't see all of the information. Has this ever happened to anyone else?

Perhaps others have experienced better results. I'm still puzzled, though, about this "main EQ database" that PG referred to. The Credit Xpert score is as worthless as the PG score, as is the EX "National Score", otherwise known as the PLUS score. They're merely jumping on the FICO bandwagon, hoping that their new scoring system catches on. They're spending a TON of money on PR and web placement to position the "National Score" model as THE score model. The FICO scoring system, right or wrong, is light years ahead of this new bogus score from EX. And it's universally accepted as THE credit score. When was the last time you heard a mortgage lender say "let's see your PG score, your Credit Xpert score, or your PLUS score"? Ain't gonna happen!
