Situation needing help

I have a situation that I am really not sure how to handle. Read many of the threads to find one close, but wasn't able to. Any helpful suggestions would be appreciated.

Scenario - Had a house that was in beginning stages of foreclosure. Luckily, sold house and paid house in full. Reported foreclosure on credit reports, but was able to get it off and two out of three cr now say Paid as agreed. Although both say paid as agreed, one still shows 1 60 day late in the time frame that we weren't late. I have disputed as never late and hoping it will be taken out. Need to work on third one. I have called the prior mortgage company to find out if it is possible to get a mortgage payment history, but because of being paid off last year, they don't believe they can.

My question - when trying to get foreclosure off reports, I had letter from a higher authority requesting them to take off foreclosure. It does say in letter that at some point, we were 90 days late. This letter was sent to all three CRA. I am not sure if I should write to CRA disputing never late or send a Goodwill Letter to mortgage company. Want to handle this the correct way.

Sorry so long, but do need help. Thank you.

lbrown - It is my belief that the reason people come to bulletin boards like this, is to learn and ask questions, not to be ridiculed by an individual. I think the most ridiculous question there is, is one not asked. If you can't answer the question, then don't respond.

What stops you from doing both? WEhichever works, taht's what you do, and since you don't know which will work, do both. Do you REALLY care whether the CRA deletes it or the Mortgage Company deletes it, as long as it's deleted?

I disputed it with the CRA on line with the never late dispute and I just received notice today that it was validated. Funny part is, we were not late on the months they are indicating. What should be my next step? I don't want them to delete the tradeline because it is needed. I was also thinking of trying to find my cancelled checks to show them those months were paid. Would that help?

one more apology to lbrown - feel you deserve an extra apology. :)
