Slowly but surely I am getting my wife's sh%t together. 1 deletion here and maybe 1 there. When I started back in 8/2002 I think she had maybe 10 negative tradelines on all 3 reports and 1 positive secured card. Now there is basically 4 on TU, 4 on Exp and 6 on Equ. and a assigned unsecured cap one with a car loan from toy motor to report soon. I don't think we will win any races for speed, but it is the results in the long run that count. Her scores are roughly (as is) now around TU 633, Exp 611 and Equ 589 We are planning on re-financing her toy motor credit car loan with Her bank, WAMU, in about 3 months or so and then have it paid off by summer? Working for a bank has some advantages as all she really needs is roughly 680 score and explanation of negs to qualify for the employee rate. (She deserves it as she started answering the phones for Home Savings some 8 years ago with no college degree and now her job title is Portfolio Analyst Trader/ Mortgage Trading) Then are plan is to start buying/selling some foreclosure's here in Washington state! The defaults are growing fast here and my years of experience as a Real estate appraiser may finally pay off, (actually my experience as a home improvement sales closer is what will finally do the trick, as talking to strangers about the fact that they are going to lose their home at a foreclosure sale is not something that appeals to everyone! this really is the key along with the fact that you can get default records online for free in some counties now!!!) So it will be interesting and possibly amazing to see what could happen by this time next year! I have gone through a few boom and bust cycles in my life and anything could happen if you work at it a little bit. I just hope I have learned enough to avoid the bust part! dog
Congratulations! Not all of us hit a homerun the first time out--slow and steady gets you to the same place........eventually! Sounds like you are on the right track. Keep up the good work!
Creditdog..Congrats on the achievments! I too am hoping to clean up my reports and attempt at some sort of real estate investing. Do you have good free links that I can research concerning forclosures. I am most interested in the free sites that list them.(I live in Knoxville)..Thanks and Congrats!
here is a general link for actual state by state links!---http://www.netronline.com/public_records.htm. This is what i will use, but it takes time to understand what you are looking for. Here is another possible one---not as good as actually getting to the owner fist ---- http://www.foreclosurefreesearch.com/foreclosure_property.htm And there may be a private company in your state that sells the infomation for a monthly fee kind of thing, with that type of service you can get some help about the ins and outs!
maybe I should have said "fastly getting there" just received TU results in the mail--- 3 out 4 deleted! ONLY 1 negative tradeline on TU . Was so excited I screwed up and put wrong previous address with TU in my failed attempt to view report online. And now I am blocked until 3/02/2003 .
