Just a small survey, I hope you guys can let me know your opinion/experiences, PLEASE. If you decided not to answer, please ignore this message. Thanks in advance. Regards, Goeast = = = = = (1) What is your purpose for having a credit card? (2) Is annual fee makes a difference? No annual fee is better? (3) Why not ONE CARD that suited your needs is enough for you? Why many cards? (4) What is the highest Cash back % you got for every purchase? Any changes you would have made? (5) Why choose a credit issued through a specific merchant? Because of you get great rebates when you buy featured products? Or? (6) What 3 criteria are to be considered as the Best Reward Credit Card for you? = = = = =
(1) What is your purpose for having a credit card? To not have to carry cash. It is easier for me to keep track of how I spent my money if I have a credit card than if I use cash. I just don't like writing checks. (2) Is annual fee makes a difference? No annual fee is better? It does to some extent. I have one card that I pay $50 a year for, but it has certain rewards I like (AA miles). For other cards, I am not willing to pay, though. (3) Why not ONE CARD that suited your needs is enough for you? Why many cards? In case I have a problem with my main card (lost or stolen or some sort of error). It is just a back-up for emergency purposes. (4) What is the highest Cash back % you got for every purchase? Any changes you would have made? Honestly, I never really kept track that way. I have earned a large number of miles, though, and have been able to get a couple of free trips over time. (5) Why choose a credit issued through a specific merchant? Because of you get great rebates when you buy featured products? Or? When I was younger and naive, I would sign up for credit cards with merchants for the discounts, but now I am wiser (thanks to creditnet!). There is no offer great enough to get me to get a merchant account now. (6) What 3 criteria are to be considered as the Best Reward Credit Card for you? I'm not quite sure what you are asking here. For actual rewards? Airline miles and cash back. My DH, however, would say points towards a deluxe cappacino machine.
3) Why not ONE CARD that suited your needs is enough for you? Why many cards? goeast ================ Do a search on utilization credit mix balance transfers Read the 3 intro threads The END ************************* LB 59
1/3. Even beyond the credit mix, my money works for me if it's in the bank or stocks or whatever. So if I can keep it there for the 27-30 days before the bill is due, I will likely have earned some dividends in addition to frequent flier miles and cash back! Using cash is not as rewarding as using a credit card-w/out which you can't establish credit any way! 2. This question is a tad silly, no? Let me see do I want to pay a fee for a service I can receive for free?? NO Ok, now enough of that... Don't people usually get paid for answering questions such as the ones your posing? Sounds like focus group questions!
Re: Re: Small SURVEY I just finished reading every messege on the Rule of 72 topic. You, Butch and other really heat it off. Great Job. I will pass it to my people. LB59, can you show me the link for "Read the 3 intro threads", i cannot find it through search button. thanks.
Yap, noone get paid for answering or helping out. Sorry. I am more into high cash back offer, i personally think it is better than Air Miles, Perks, or discount. Peace, goeast
To make the smaller major purchases in life so they can be paid off in increments, a source of emergency cash and to boost my credit scores. The anal fee makes a BIG diffrence, heck why should I pay for something that I can get for free elsewhere. Unless I can get some good rewards along with my card. I mean its not like they don't make enough off of raping me on interest fees. Again for credit purposes so that my balances can be spread out if my scores need a boost. I just got my first prime card, it doesn't have that feature so I can't comment. To get the best benifits and least hassles. Things such as Crapital Ones not reporting of CL's and annual fees, MBNA who thinks they can pull a hard inquiry anytime they feel like it, and First Premier that likes to fee the users to death are reasons why I don't just sign on with anybody. I'm still looking, haven't quite gotten that far along yet...
Re: Re: Small SURVEY Hi lbrown59, I couldnâ??t find the â??utilization credit mix balance transfersâ? you were talking about. Read the 3 intro threads? Can you please show me where it is. THANK YOU, goeast
Re: Re: Re: Small SURVEY Goeast: just a quick question. You said: "I just finished reading every message on the Rule of 72 topic. You, Butch and other really heat it off. Great Job. I will pass it to my people." Who are your people? You also seem to be very interested in credit cards, why? Do you work for a credit card company? I am just curious, nothing more than that.
Re: Re: Re: Small SURVEY The intro threads are at the top of each page that list the treads for the page.
Re: Re: Re: Small SURVEY Good survey GoEast. First, When you first log onto the message board, at the top of the first panel you see 3 "INTRO" threads, 2 of which is from PsychDoc. Those are the into threads they suggesting you read carefully first. Second, the most important reason to have numerous cards and accounts is because your score is partly determined by the "Credit Mix". The system wants to see you have a few different accounts from various vendors. 3 credit cards, 2 retail store accounts and 1 installment loan is great. Also, I gather english is not your first language. You're doing fine, just keep studying hard and asking lots of questions. Again, welcome to the board.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Small SURVEY Thanks again Butch I know my survey is crappy and you are just trying to be nice. Heeheheeee . . Yes, English is my second language and I am trying my best, hope you guys bear with me. Regards, Goeast
Re: Re: Re: Re: Small SURVEY TT: â??My peopleâ? is just a general term I use referring to family, friends. . . basically all people that I know of. I am interested in CC because I will be getting a new CC from the company I work with after the company had finalized their partnership structure with a bank, maybe in several months time. The company I work with is not a financier institution. And the new CC plan is very different from the rest on the market especially on the cash back part (I think it is better than Discover) Then I had this idea if the new CC plan is performing well here, it could grab a portion of US market as well like consumers, merchantsâ?¦etc if and only if it fits. So I started to get more info over net, trying to understand what kind of card Americans prefer. â?¦. . then I have to find leaders and merchants to market this new CC. So far it is too early to tell, I have to receive the card and use it first. Regards, Goeast P/s Thx for dropping by.
