Spent the past six months working on the CRs for my husband and myself. After much time and effort, got them looking pretty good (thanks CN!) Applied for a refinance and when the broker pulled the tri-merge report, several things that had been deleted from my credit report and are not currently showing on any version that is provided to me (CreditExpert, PG, MyFico) are showing up on her report. This is consistent across all three of the CRAs. I confirmed that the company that she uses compiled the report directly from info provided by the three CRAs on the day that the report was prepared. Interestingly, the FICO scores reported in her report are exactly the same as the scores I pulled from MyFico.com two day previous. I have possession of the report that she pulled as well as reports that I pulled just before and just after, so I guess it's back to work!
I'm sure there are some litigators on this board foaming at the mouth on this one. Have you pulled new reports today or same day as the mortgage company pulled?
I do not have a copy pulled the same day as the broker's report. However, I think that a CRA would have a hard time making the argument that two days prior to the broker's pull these items were not on the report and then one day subsequent to the broker's pull they were not on the report. They would have to claim that completely unrelated companies all decided to reinsert items on the same day and then also delete them three days later. I also have some serious concerns about MyFico.com. The fact that the scores didn't change even with the reinsertion of negative info has me baffled. I've always thought my scores were low considering the reports that I was provided.
