I have successfully been able to remove several old negatives from my credit report just by disputing with the individual CRA's... there were 2 items that are being collected by the same company, and I just sent them a certifed letter yesterday telling them that i have disputed the debts for years, they were not mine- I never signed up for their book clubs. I told them the debts are a few months past the SOL for our state, and that I demanded they consider them uncollectable and to remove them from my credit report. So now i wait and see what happens... Also, on Wednesday, December 9th, I will be able to pay off the last $850 on my student loan. I am hoping to see a rise in my scores for the New Year. My FAKO scores currently are TU 584, EQ 572, EX 584....I have 2 inquiries- one from last January 1st when I bought my new car(paid cash for it) and a few months ago when I became an authorized signor on our cubscout pack's bank account... so now we wait...lol...
Well, I am thinking I will have some luck with this, as the day after I mailed the letter to them I recieved a settlement offer from them, lol... will update if there are any changes...
