good question! i just received a new TU report and all of a sudden I have a new name(and a collection account to go with it!)

just give the CRA a call and *explain* who you are.

javan - at least they didn't say you were dead! hehe (you have to see another post of mine to understand that one!)

    can this be handled online?

i am new to this online dispute thing

    peace, j

for TU they like to see your SSN card and DL which both should have the same name (of course). Then they will delete the other files.

I had 10 or so AKA's on both EQ and EX. I just called them and asked them to delete them because they weren't even close to my name. They deleted them with no questions asked. That was about a year ago, and they haven't been re-inserted.

What happens if you just dispute the AKAs online with TU?

Guess I'll bump this in primetime....

Need info on TU specifically and removing (close) AKAs. Can anybody tell me more. Do they always require DL/SSN? What's best approach? Fastest?

with TU - you can call or go online. i've done both and they were removed immediately without showing any proof

Were they close? (and how immediately is "immediately" online....I thought it took a week for TU to even get to an online dispute???)

I disputed an address and had a new AKA (which could only have come from a judgment) suddenly appear the next day..... I need to figure out what to do, how to get rid of this.
