    I moved from the 600 (target/cap1) level to 650ish
    score.

I still think thats pretty subprime but citibank seems to like the score.

What have you gotten with a 650ish score??

Car loans at decent rate? Anything?

Is this an actual score or is it inflated due to disputed derogs? I saw how sharply mine changed (608 with 5 derog disputes to 534 with 1 deleted derog and 4 non disputed derogs) and that's why I ask :)

nope. I have nothing in dispute at the moment. The citi cards nailed my debt ratio from 77% to 34% giving me a 50 point increase.

I suppose i should see if disputing gives me more points huh?

    Hmm.

I'm not an expert, but I would ;) I would if I could...but guess what? EQ won't accept any online disputes from me anymore :(

    Sam,

You're really making progress! Good for you!

You might try for a Chase card. What's your Transunion report like? Chase usually pulls from TU. If there are any major negatives on there, though, I would hold off. But, if you just have a few late pays, with a score of 650, Chase might let you through. I don't think my score was much higher than that when my approval came. .

    Good luck.

I know 650 is good enough for Am/Ex Green or Gold charge. BUT, don't bother if you have stuff in dispute status. Am/Ex is able to see the stuff in dispute. I already tried! :-(
