It lets you pull your equifax credit report everyday and it does not hurt you and most of all it lets you see your daily FICO score. For that it is worth my cash. Also it is free for 30 days so if you go to www.equifax.com and sign up today, it cost you nothing. You can also go to www.creditexpert.com and see the same thing except for experian. Only thing with them is that the score is not that real, just a guide. This can also be free for 30 days Transunion, does not have either. You can pull your report by saying you were denied credit, use one of your mortgage pulls as the lender and watch what you enter carefully and answer the ID questions right. do not guess, if it is not there, choose none of the above. If you do not answer their questions all correctly, it BLOCKS you and you can no longer get your report on line. I am blocked along with like 3000 other Creditnetters. HOLLA at your boy!!
That 30 day late could be worth quite a few points. But there has to be something other than that affecting your score, unless, you had disputes with Equifax. That would have inflated your score as disputed items are not taken into account with Fico. So, assuming we are even dealing with Equifax, if you had items in dispute, it increases your score. Even though your dispute is not officially final until I think you said Sept. 5, it is possible that one or more of the disputed items have already been verified and this could account for the decrease in score.
Do you have any suggestions on how to raise my score another 100 points within the next 29 days, before closing date. I know this is crazy to ask, because you do not know what the report looks like. But is there a quicker why to raise my score.... I am praying for miracles here. I can't lose my house.......I just can't!
Talk to the broker. They have something called "rapid rescoring" where errors on a credit report can be corrected within 72 hours. Of course, this costs, but I'm not sure how much. Do a search here for that term and you will find a few threads on it.
LKH you always have good answers.....do you have any suggestions on who to use for rapid scoring, or do I have to do my research here in Charlotte for that? Thanks for your help.....
I can't conclude anything from that slide. It also mentions "Occupation." Also, Fair, Isaac says that there are 10 "scorecards." http://www.fairisaac.com/page.cfm/s...id2=180/id1=50/layout=layout1.cfm/press_id=67
Then what is it that they see when doing a soft? I had asked this before but didn't a response. I'm trying to figure out if there is any reason for an old creditor to do a soft and can't find anything.
Permissible purposes Sec. 1681b. - Permissible purposes of consumer reports: http://www4.law.cornell.edu/uscode/15/1681b.html
Re: Permissible purposes My question is -- What is the permissible purpose for a company that has gone out of business such as Service Merchandise or Fingerhut to pull a soft inquiry on a report where the acct has been closed w/ no money owing (zero balance) for some time?
Re: Permissible purposes Jesus you was just reading my mine. I am wondering the same exact thing. I just responded to some one's post about Fingerhut. I don't understand, how they can continue to report me, stating I have a balance with them, that I never used. Wooooo Weeeee.....beats me!!!! But I am trying to get them off my credit fast!
