I understand that the SOL "freezes" if you leave the state.

Say you never return to the state. Does the SOL remain frozen indefinitely? Can they legally sue me for the rest of my life, assuming I don't go back to the state?

How do they prove I have been out of state? Is the burden of proof on me if I claim I have been in the state?

Sorry if this is difficult to understand...could really use some help!

Also...I found this online: "The relevant statute is the one for the state in which the debtor resided at the time of the delinquency. "

I was living in Kuwait at the time of my delinquency!!! What the crap??
