SOL for debt

    I.ve been trying to find out if there is a statute of limitations for a debt that is 8 years old but there was a judgement listed on my credit report dated feb. of 2000. I wasnt sure if I could use the statute if there was a judgement agains me...Thanks of any help you could give me..

    If they've already gotten a judgment against you, then the SOL for judgments applies. It's usually a long time, as much as 20 years. In some states it can be renewed.
