SOL. When does it really start? I have been reading alot about SOL, I know in Cal. the time frame is 4 years. some write on this board that the SOL begins from when you made your last payment others say different, I was checking around on the internet and found a site that says that the SOL begins from the first delinquency or written off date, NOT by last activity or last payment. So if a person made a payment say in Jan. and a balance was still due but made no further payments, then would the first delinquency be in Feb.? Hope someone can help clarify when the SOL starts. Thanks.
Re: SOL. When does it really start? Each state sets it's own statute of limitations and exactly when it starts, so one answer does not fit. You have to read the way your state defines it.
