Which state do yu use for the SOL the state you live in or the state the loan was made in. For example I have a loan that I got when i lived in NC and I know live in PA.
Re: Re: Sol Yes,in your case they will, however if it were reversed, and you were in a shorter SOL State,they would not choose the State with the longer SOL, unless you have a record of lienable assets in that State. They still have to serve you in your present State, and even if they get a default judgment, they would have to certify it and register it in your State,in order to enforce it, which would be VERY difficult in most circumstances.

Re: Re: Re: Sol FYI ..I recently learned that at least in Massachusetts that if you left the state and went to another that the SOL would stop in its tracks until you moved back into the state. In other words SOL would not work if you moved out of the state regardless of what the SOL term is for any other state. This came directly to me from an attorney. If you left this State on the 4th year it would never move onto the next year as long as you were out of the state completly.
