i live in WA and im helping a friend fix his credit. he has 2 charge offs and to CA's on his report but noone has called him to collect these debts for at least 3 years. here the sol is 3 years for an open account and 6 years for a written contract. so for a credit card, is it six years since you sign and have written terms and conditions. also what does 3 years for an open account mean. is that 3 years from the dola or 3 years until the account is actually closed. thanks for help.

A credit card is a revolving open end agreement, it is covered under the 3 year SOL.

The SOL date starts the first month you are "late" or past due, prior to the account being charged off.
