I noticed negative tradeline on my CR report earlier this year. I contacted alleged OC. They sent me letter. "In accordance with your request, we notified credit bureaus to remove your name from above referenced account. No additional infornation relating to the account will be reported to the credit bureaus in your name." Shortly after this, I received a letter from a CA stating they purchased this alleged debt. CA put neg. tradeline on my report. I sent validation request to CA. I then disputed with CRA'S. CA verified. I contacted alleged OC today. They told me the debt is coming back to them. questions: 1)If a debt is sold, why would the OC buy it/take it back after I requested validation from a CA? What happens now? 2)If an alleged OC charges an account off, can they put a balance on your CR? 3)What options do I have in dealing with this alleged OC? I have their letter. 4)CRA'S won't investigate on this account again. What can I tell them now to get this off my report.
1. Probably something in the purchase agreement. (Kind of like a return/exchange policy) 2. yes 3,4. Send the letter to the CRA's disputing again. They are supposed to by law "consider consumer information" which of course they don't. Then you will have them by the short hairs
