I recently disputed a couple of collections that were showing up on all 3 credit reports. EFX and EXP both came back as validated-remains. TUC deleted the tradelines. What gives?

Thanks for the help. You guys are great.

Prob - you disputed with the CRA's - they almost always verify.

Send a validation letter to the CA's. I especially love the line in the letter that states "This is not a request to verify, this is a request to validate the debt."

Give it 30 days, afterwards (If they don't respond) - send the estoppel letter (Validation 30 days later). After 30 days (If yet again, you get no response), THEN - dispute with the CRA's.

Just make sure everything is sent CRRR - and keep a copy of your records. When you finally dispute with the CRA's - send them copies of everything, including the letters sent to the CA's.

    Worked for me :)
