Equifax has been quite a roller coaster ride. I still have 2 files with them. Score on one file is 724 and on the other was 654.

The 654 is due to a 5 year old paid student loan showing as 120 days late. When I disputed it, score went up to 750. I applied for and received a GM card, and Citi platinum.

The 120 day late came back verified and score dropped back to 654. The new credit lines posted to EQ yesterday and score went up a whopping 8 points to 662.

I've tried 4 times now disputing the way the SL is being reported. Last month I disputed it again, called the guarantor the next day and it still came back verified. I'm sending them an "Iamirateandgettingreadytosueyourass" letter on Monday, hopefully that will work.

This is my last derog on all reports. If anyone has any other ideas on how to tackle this, I'd love to hear them =)

Didn't someone threaten to sue EQ about having 2 files and within a week they only had one? Charlie

Not too worried about the 2 files right now. If they were combined, I'd still have this last ding to worry about. Scores and history will be great on both of them if I can get rid of this.
