I think I've heard just about enough of this nonsense, where these people come on this board and try to make the credit reporting, and collection industries out to be the victims. These people are so worried about board members asserting their lawful rights, and are just horrified by Doc's trick. Lets look at this for a moment , shall we? Are these the same people that say they verified disputed items when they've done no such thing?, are these the people who can easily re-insert negative trade lines on your CR but somehow can't do the same when a positive line is inadvertently deleted? are these the same people who hardly ever follow the FDCPA, AND THE FCRA? are these the same people who routinely break the law in their attempts to collect a debt? I'm sorry but I think if anyone needs to be watched it's them, not us.
I suppose that is why congress enacted the "Fair Debt Collection Practices Act" as oppesed to reestablishing debtor's prison. LOL
