2 months yesterday!! I believe I am over the physical addiction. The worst for me used to be driving, now I don't miss it.

For me driving is really bad also, tried to replace it with coffee. Got to work one day and as soon as I walked in the door I gave one of my co-workers (good friend) a dirty look and called him a few names. His response was, didn't have your cigarettes huh?

Creditnet is at the tops too!! I'm sitting here puffing away.

Its been 12 hours since my last one. I'm sucking and chewing on ice. Just yelled at my poor daughter. She said to me "mom, I love you anyway." Boy did that make me feel bad. I told her so. She said she understood and gave me a big KISS. Okay, I plan to make it through tomorrow. Wish me luck!

GOOD LUCK!!! Just remember after 24-48 hours you are over the chemical addiction. Keep telling yourself that and you'll do it!!!!

OK, its 10:55am and I'm not doing too bad. The drive into work wasn't bad either, kept a coffee mug in my hand.

5 minutes to go and will be 24 hours. I've made it this far before. I'm ok. Besides that nut out there on the main board keeps my mind off cigs-LOL!

Its almost been 48 hours, and I haven't suffered too bad. This morning though as I'm drinking my coffee I had an incline for a cig. Quickly I realized my error and just said no. For some reason I feel different quitting this time. More power or something. Its like I have support here.

In addition to credit repair I can get support on quitting smoking!!!

What a great place to be!!

    rhaney-
When I quit smoking I wish I drank coffee, that's one thing I never got into. I even tried getting into it and couldn't.

I keep saying if I can quit smoking I can lose but that's a WHOLE OTHER ISSUE...lol.

Keep it up, I know you can do it!

Well I'm still going strong, and I really haven't any severe cravings at all. I can't believe I've went this long (5 days) and not even tried to bum one off of anyone else. Could it be that its really over?

Are you folks ready to support someone else? I'm planning on quitting Thanksgiving day. I'm off for 4 days and have a lot of family activities scheduled so I think it'll be easier (if there is such a thing) for me at that time. I have to go outside when around others in my family. I am the only one who smokes at these functions. So maybe this time I can just try to enjoy their company instead of constantly thinking about going outside to smoke.

PS I hope nothing or no one pisses me off. It sure would be embarrassing to cause a scene in front of some people that I haven't seen in years. LOL

I'm ready!! I didn't tell me family (other than hubby) I quit until I reached the one month mark. It's amazing NO ONE mentioned in that month "Gee Kellie I haven't seen you smoke". But they sure do notice it when you're puffing away :)

You can do it, I'm cheering for you!! Rah!!Rah!!

I've been smoke free for 10 days now. The first couple days were difficult. But I'm over it now. Everyone once in a while I think about a cigarette but I don't give in.

Be strong Tuffcredit. Set your date and just do it!!!

    Thanks,

I'm really going to try very hard to go through with it. I'm going to tell my immediate family what I'm doing and ask them for their support.

The last time I tried to quit about two years ago I made it 5 days. Not much of a triumph. My wife was ready to go buy me a pack. Needless to say, I was very irritable. I think if try to excercise a little more self control I can manage it.
