Why is it that even the simplest thing - like paying down your balance to raise your score - becomes so damn tough? I have paid down DMB considerably but they are just not showing up on EXP. Most annoying lately is an updated dated 10/31 that did not show up until 11/26 - a month later. EXP asserts that they got the update on 11/26, dated 10/31 and there's nothing they can do about it. At this point, I am missing my Nov and Dec balance updates, so it's reporting $2900 when it should reflect $1500. So I called DMB to generate a dispute on their end, and they told me that they ONLY report to EQ. Weird, since I've seen TU update two days before EQ. This DMB rep explained that EQ then updates the other CRAs. THAT I find hard to believe, and I've been under the impression that CRAs don't share info. Anyone shed some light on these conflicts? Someone's lying, probably DMB *and* EXP.
Well thats a new one! A reporter has to pay for the privilege of putting baddies on our reports. FWIW DMB is reporting on all 3 of mine, and none of them have the same information
Jlynn, how about the timing? I'm typically seeing TU ten days after my DMB statement date (online), EQ 14 days and EXP whenever the moon is full on a Tuesday.
it sounds like a dumb dmb rep that doesnt know who they report to. the cras dont update each other. sometimes a creditor will send info to the cra a month after its relevent. then the cra can take another couple weeks to report that. ive heard that the cras dont care about updating balances until either 3 or 6 months has passed if they dont have to. so hopefully on 12/26 they will get the update and the balance shown will be lower. it looks like you have to just wait.
I dunno, mine is a sold charge off DMB NEVER reported in 10 years on any of my reports until it went to CO.
The best advice to anyone is never get a DMB card. I fought with them for many months on inaccurate reporting, all I wanted was to correct the errors but got nowhere. One month I happen to check my CR's and everthing is updated to current. Not correct either, but I will take it.
Re: Re: someone's lying - DMB vs. E Very cute. Since nobody else wants my bizness, I'm stuck w/the cream of the subprime cards - $10k CL w/DMB, $5k CL w/Aspire and $1.9k w/Cap1.
