I disputed a CC account online w/Experian...came back verified. Strange thing is, before I learned about disputing/validating/etc. etc. I had called this CCC to find out info on how to pay what I owed. I spoke to 3 different people and NONE of them could even find my file and told me it was "probably sent to a collection agency". WTF???

send experian a " procedures letter" and see what they say! I am betting you will have some violations!

    Velouria,

The CCC CSR's that you get at the 800 number don't always have access to old accounts. That is usually another department.

Write the address that Experian gives you and see if they can tell you anything. Better yet, send the CCC a CRRR letter and see what they tell you in writing.

If they don't have any records, then you can use the correspondence to have the items removed from your report(s).
