Wow...this story just keeps getting interesting.

Back at the first of the year I sent a letter to a Bank who had a auto loan that was paid off in full 3 years ago. They were listing the account as a 30 and 60 day late back in 2001. The letter asked for documentation on the account that showed those payments as being late.

Short story--They pulled a Hard inquiry on my credit report. I promptly sent a ITS for lack of PP as well as not listing the account as in dispute on the bureau. Today I was sent a letter with the evidence they had. Apparently they had sent a certified letter with return receipt that I signed for in July of 2001.

    1. I moved from the address the certified letter was sent to 2 months previous

    2. The signature is not mine

    3. I was not living in Virginia at the time the letter was signed, I was working full time in Texas (verifiable if I need it to be)

    4. I had given them a change of address that obviously they didn't pay any attention to.

What should I do next? Doesn't this strengthen my case to some degree?
