Or at least Discover Card thinks so. They sent him an App for a Discover Gold Card. and get this.. He is only 13 months old. I got a big laugh out of this one.
Now that is funny. However, you may want to pull his report and see if someone has stolen his identity. Willis
Yes. They get it about 2 months after they're born, so you might want to be careful that crafty hospital workers aren't stealing information. Happened to a customer of mine when he was admitted to the hospital. They have SSN's, addresses, etc., everything to steal someone's identity.
SS NUMBERS have "ISSUE" dates...I have seen it somewhere... This SS# was issued between 19XX and 19XX So if a baby applied the ISSUE date would be an AUTOMATIC DENIAL...and is the baby going to sign (OR FRAUDULENTLY...YOU SIGN???)...and is the baby saying HE/SHE is 18 years old??? But 16 is early enough to start them out with credit...some cards let you get an "AU" card for them or a CO-SIGN "STUDENT" card...(HAS or HAD ONE)
No need to give your real SSN when you go to the hospital. Or when you apply for a job either. You can always give your real SSN on the W-4 form when and if you actually get hired. It would be foolish to place your real SSN on dozens of job applications, considering some of the crooks, jerks, and idiots who are likely to get a look at your application. I use the universal privacy number of 999-99-9999 whenever I please. My real SSN is none of their business.
Wow that's a great idea, and you don't get any flak over it? When I figured out that's how doctors, hospitals and "other" types of creditors would try to collect if my ex-husband's health insurance wasn't paying for our kids' bills, I would give HIS ss#... after all it is his policy. I like the 999 idea for other issues. When I was a kid my Dad refused to give his out, maybe he knew more than I thought?? lol
