Just got an offer in the mail for the WorldPerks Visa card. They're giving me 7,500 worldperks bonus miles apply got and get the card, and 1 mile per $1 spent. I checked the website, and the offer is only 4,000 bonus miles after applying and being approved (quite a difference...apparently this is an exclusive one-time offer as they say in the letter). Those of you who are into earning miles for free travel will understand how nice 7,500 miles sounds! I travel on northwest a lot, and it would be cool. BUT the terms sux! $90 annual fee!! 14.5% interest rate!! Ok, anyone here have a worldperks card? Is the annual fee ever waived? can you get the interest lowered? By the way, I did see on the worldperks website that they now give 4,000 bonus miles for opening a US Bank checking account and getting the Visa checkcard (has a $20 annual fee though). So this might be an alternative even though I miss out on the 7,500 mile offer I got in the mail. So, anyone with experience with the worldperks credit cards?
UNITED VISA (FIRST USA/BANK ONE) 10,000 MILES + $60.00 + 5,000 GOLD UPGRADE (do it a couple of months later) + $25.00 MORE (pro-rated) AMEX DELTA GOLD 10,000 MILES + $85.00
Do any of those actually work with northwest airlines? Because most/all of my travels are done on northwest. I already have a bank one platinum card.. if the miles are good, i'll consider switching cards
Checked the websites.. doesn't look like any of those airlines link with northwest, so doesn't do me any good. Anyone with the Worldperks card?
Re: Re: Soooo tempting!! I know Continental works on NW. Chase has fairly decent mileage bonuses for getting their card. I got 10K miles for their worldcard. I think its 6000 miles for the plat. Annual fee is $60, and interest is 13. I never keep a balance on a rewards card, so the 13% doesn't bother me. I have a no frills card for any balances that I might carry.
Re: Re: Soooo tempting!! Well, the interest rate didn't bother me. I know I just wont carry balances on it. The $90 annual fee just seems unnecesary to me. I actually have a chase platinum.. so maybe I might be able to switch and get those miles (?)
Re: Re: Soooo tempting!! I have a WP Visa card from US Bank. I signed up for it last month. At the time, they gave me a 10,000 mile sign up bonus, and the annual fee was $45. US Bank has excellend customer service, and they credited my WP account with the 10,000 within 2 weeks of receiving the card.
Re: Re: Re: Soooo tempting!! 10,000 with a $45 fee? That's not bad at all. By the way, what rate are you paying? Did you get the offer in the mail, or did you just call them?
