I'm almost ready to push the button on this citibank deal, but really don't want to waste an inquiry. In short, my situation: On T/U report, 3 charge offs, unpaid, all 6+ years old, one for $3200.00 (ouch!), one for $800, one for $350. No inquiries. No positive trade lines. Just got a Providian Secured (the $49.00 deal) Gold $450 limit 2 months ago, doesn't show up on T/U yet, but if it does, almost 0 balance (as in paid in full each month). $43K year salary. 4 yrs at current residence and job. Do I submit for the card, or tuck my tail between my legs and wait til next year? Any info appreciated. If I've got a shot, I'll submit. I really need to start building some positve trade lines. Thanks!
RE: Sorry, another Citibank Qu No positive trade lines at all? Humm....not good! I would advise against applying......just my opinion. You were right when you need to start building positive trade lines, but I think it's way too early to be trying to build with Citibank. Citibank (in my opinion) is not a place to build. CAll Cap1 or some of those other guys. Just my opinion....
RE: Sorry, another Citibank Qu DON'T DO IT!!! I tried for 2.90% platinum card (no instant answer) but called on phone (they said I was denied). $70,000+ income, never late, never over limit, no BK. I GUESS CITIBANK DOESN'T WANT MY BUSINESS???
