Question , Can you send a validation to the credit reporting (CB) and the orginal creditor/collections? Which one is adviseable to do 1st for validation letter? or does it really matter?
Here is a link that contains some great information and other links too regarding the validation process. Hope this helps! http://consumers.creditnet.com/straighttalk/board/showthread.php?s=&pgnum=1&postid=124163#post124163
ok so just send validations letters to collections and original creditors who placed the information on your credit report. ok then What type of claims can you make to TU, Equifax, & Experian? In reference to claims I am meaning disputes. I know inquires are one but are there any others?
No, validation letters go to collection agencies only. You can dispute whatever you want on your credit reports, i.e. late payments, tradelines themselves, inquiries, DOLA's, date account was opened/closed, previous addresses. Easiest way is to just do it online, that way the CRA can't use a stall tactic (as they're so famous for using) such as "please provide two copies of current utility bills".
Thanks for the links I think I am somewhat slightly understanding what you guys are saying. One more thing define theses terms for me so I can make sure I am not confusing them 1.) WHAT IS CRA? Is this the same as Credit bureau (TU, Experian, Equifax) 2.) What is CA? --I am thinking Collection Agency as explained above Someone please correct me if I am still wrong
