What is the source for this section from the sample validation letter?

I had no qualms about sending a modified wording of that to American Agencies, but I am very hesitant to send it to an attorney who is collecting a debt, even suitably modified.

    Anybody?

I think to be safe I'll just not mention it. This lawyer is asking for $250 legal fees for collecting a $600 debt! I am running close to my 30 day limit and don't want to miss it...

I am betting there is no answer. Most of that sample letter is just wordage to scare an ignorant CA, I think.

If you go to the post office site www.usps.com and go to the mail fraud complaint it does lists a false bill or notice as mail fraud. I am using this in my intent to sue letter for a SOL debt and if they do not pay up by friday I am gonna file mail fraud charges against the employee of the CA.

Sure, the complaint form does have it as an item, but the preceeding page doesn't go into much detail. Looks like I'll have to read the US statutes to know for sure.

This is exactly why I was asking for the reasoning behind putting that in the validation letter. I was thinking that it was (or should have been) researched and that someone here would know the results of that research, beyond the simple inclusion of it in the validation letter.

1*Bummer, American Agencies verified to EXP.
2*I am very hesitant to send it to an attorney who is collecting a debt.

1*Did they validate to you first?
    If not that's a $1000.oo Violation.
2*Wouldn't bother me in the least. Attorneys aren't any better than a CA and don't have any more rights than the CA!

Why is it EXP can get so many people to reply, that TU and EFX can't?
