...for $100! (kidding, kidding, don't hate me...)

Actually, I'm referring to a recent article entitled "Speedy way to correct credit reports" that sort of goes into how professional subscribers to Standfacts Credit Svc's Scorepower (the same Scorepower behind EQ's Credit Watch, I assume) can give their clients access not only to EQ, but to EX and TU as well:

When home-loan applicants' scores come in below the designated mark, they get an e-mail immediately telling them that their credit files contain data that they may wish to review. Applicants can then go to a secure Scorepower Web site, punch in an access code and examine the full electronic credit files that were pulled from the three national credit bureaus - Equifax, Experian and Trans- Union. If any of the negative information depressing their scores is wrong, applicants can then quickly begin the process of correcting the files.

Standfacts promises lenders that most errors can be corrected within 72 hours of receipt of documentation from creditors confirming the mistaken information.

(...sorry if somebody else already posted this article...) My question is: why don't EX and TU follow suit and offer the general population access to their real FICO scores? Sure, their in-house scores seemed kinda neat at first, even if they were For Amusement Purposes Only, but don't they know that they would probably make a killing off of some Credit Watch equivalent? Just my $.02...
