Recently, I've heard people talking about split reports and files "splitting" in two due to "bumpage", etc.

What exactly happens to the report why it would split in two?

Also what practical effect does a split report have on you? Which information will creditors see if they pull your credit--part 1 or part 2? How do you dispute items on a split report? How do you get it un-split?

A SPLIT FILE MUST BE FIXED...IT IS NEITHER 100% ACCURATE NOR 100% COMPLETE

They may get part 1 or part 2 or both...

Part 2 may only be INQUIRES AND NO ACCOUNTS AT ALL!!!

I had a split file with TU and EQ. I called them and told them exactly what George posted - it was fixed by that evening. One file had all the good, the other had all the bad - and which one was pulled was as random as FICO scores!!
