I recently applied for a Bloomingdale's credit card. The letter they sent me stated I was denied because there is a "SOCIAL SECURITY NUBMER VARIATION BETWEEN APPLICATION AND CREDIT BUREAU." I ran a credit check through all 3 major companies and saw no variation. When the salesgirl tried to open the account, she scanned a different major credit card to get the information. If she scanned an existing credit card, I don't understand how the numbers could vary. I also have no idea how to fix this problem or who to contact. Christina
Have you tried calling Bloomingdale's to see what social security number they have on your application? I wouldn't give up just yet. Maybe it was simple mix up when your card was getting run through. I would start researching Bloomingdale's information. Thanks! Heather with BoostMyScore.NET
