Hi everybody, just started reading this forum while planning to help my gf repair her slightly damaged credit. The situation we are hoping to get resolved is a 30 day late on her report from Honda Financing. Story was that she received a call from Honda saying they had not received her payment for the month after her due date had passed. She replied that she had already sent it in and thought nothing of it. A couple days later she got the letter back because she had put an incorrect address on it. She immediatly resent the payment to the correct address - I'm not sure the exact timeframe, she isn't here with me right now, but I would say they cashed the new payment within 30 days of the due date. This was a little over a year ago, she didn't realize they reported it on her credit report till about a week ago when we were thinking about buying a house in the future. My game plan at the moment is to send a goodwill letter to Honda through PFB. From some searching I've done most people haven't had much luck with that it seems. After that I plan on disputing the information with the credit agencies, but if that doesn't work I'm not too sure what action we'll take next - not sure if its worth it to try to take it to court. Any comments or suggestions are appreciated!
