I have a question about disputing.

In my home state, there is a law that concerns CRAs. It states that the CRAs have the responsability to delete any information that is incomplete, incorrect, inexact or cannot be verified.

I am starting my journey of cleaning my report and am thinking about disputing, mainly TU since they are reporting an old debt not quite 7 years old yet, but I know is incorrect. An old repo of mine where balance does not show the auction of the car accredited.

Any thoughts about letters to be sent?

That is a big enough reason to dispute it.

    What is your intent?
    1. To get the tradeline deleted?
    2. To get the tradeline to reflect the correct balance?

I am hoping to get the tradeline off my report. I know there is supposed to be a balance on the repo but not THAT much!

Simple. Just dispute as not mine.
