did they notify you or something first? i think they have to. Paying off a 2000 lien would have been worth it.

good luck. Might switch up addresses and nuke the old ones and try to ditch it.

No notifier sent to me since I have moved from the address on file. But I owe about $2100 so I need to prepare to pay the piper. I did have the old address deleted so we will see if that helps.

Ouch....a tax lien on EXP. THey are pretty tough to get rid of, TU and EQ both deleted, but not EXP.

I think EXP is so tough because they subscribe to the "tape" for public records.

I have tried EVERYTHING to get rid of my state tax lien with no luck. I even called the Calif. FTB AND the consumer advocate, they wouldn't budge. I told them I wasn't served, but they recited dates of service. I explained I was in the hospital and couldn't respond (true) and FTB pretty much said tough.

I didn't even OWE any $$$, I filed late and was due a refund, which I got. I sent EXP a copy of my refund check, but they didn't care.

But I think you have a descent chance by removing old addresses. Maybe you can negotiate with the state for removal???
