when you speak of statue of limitation, are you speaking about the 7 year and 10 year rule?

I ran my husband and my credit reports and they are confusing.

    Maybe someon can explain.
    Account History:
    Collection as of 11-2001,0-2001,6-2001 etc.

There hasn't been any activity on these so why would that ben in accouont history.

And is the statue of limitation based on last deliquent payment date?

    Thanks
    Barbara

The statute of limitations (SOL) is the length of time someone can legally collect on a debt and they are different depending on which state you are in and what type of contract it is. The 7 and 10 year rules are how long a credit reporting agency (CRA) can list an account on your credit report. That account looks like someone has it and continually reports it as a collection account.
