    Oral Contract
    Written Contract
    Promissory Note
    Open Ended Account

Can someone please tell me what a phone bill, rent, and a hospital bill are considered out of the above categories? I am trying to figure out the SOL for each. Actually, I have found two different sets of SOL lengths for Virginia... Does anyone know how I can find out the "correct" SOL (from the actual state law)?

    Thanks...

Written Contract in VA is 5 years but its depending on what state is longest that you are living in at the time. So if you live in TN, which is 6 years and had a bill in VA. The Creditor or Collection Agency would go by TN SOL.

Are all three considered written contracts?

Surely a hospital bill is a 'written contract.' All of those you mentioned are, in the absence of an 'oral agreement.'
