    where exactly.....

    I posted this down below but nobody has replied yet so I figured I'd post it here since it is about the same topic. I've read on a website (I think it was yours) that the statute of limitations can be for the state of either the creditor or the debtor. Is this correct? This doesn't extend to the state where the coll. agency does business, does it? Also, do you happen to know which state Discover Card is? Thanks!

    RE: where exactly.....

    The SOL applies to where the debtor lives or where the contract was formed, ie: the creditors location. It does not pertain to collection agencies or third parties. I am not sure about Discover, as they may have more then one location but just figure it is the state of their home office which I think is Dover Delaware.
