Hi I hope I have not made and error in judgement as I went on faith. DOes anyone here Ihave the phone number to call a Mr Underwood at Sterling bank and trust ? I wrote him a little letter offering to settle, he called and said if I paid the full amount he would delete..I didn't get it in writing (I know I should have) Now I need his phone number to find out whats going on I'm sure the money order is there and should be applied as they update in the beginning of the month and here we are the 12th. I just settled w/ sterling bank and trust about 3 months ago. Before any knowledge of credit repair. my experience was this: called for a settlement. they told me they could settle for 50% I paid, they deleted same day. I NEVER asked them to delete. As I said I did not know of credit repair. I could be wrong, but since you have voiced your desire to have it removed, they are trying to get more out of you. Like I said though, this was my experience. Might be a different situation w/you. I don't want to steer you wrong.
Hi Thanks for the input. I just paid it in the middle of august I actually didn't really owe that much and I did pay it fully ($177.00) It was a charge off from '99 I just feeling a little like a dope for taking someones word not getting the deletion in writing. I have faith it will get deleted I just want it off there NOW...lol I will just have disupte the account with the CRA. Do you have a Mr Underwood's number at Stereling or did you go through somene else ? Thanks Jamie
