Sent out the first validation letter to them on April 25, 2002. Never responded to it. Sent out the 15 day valadiation letter on June 10, 2002. No response. What do I do next. This account is 6 years old and one of only two derog.s left. Experian said that had already investigated and wont do it again. Help. Next step. Thanks, Roni

Was the account verified by the CRA after the CA received your first validation letter?

Thanks, I do have to intent to sue letter ready to send out. Do I need to dispute this through the CA again with these two letters. And yes they were still reporting to the ca while in diispute. There is also another Roni on this board. We aren' t the same gal.

When is it supposed to come off of your report? What I'm getting at here is, if you can wait the whatever time frame, maybe you can dispute it off within 2 or 3 months of the dropoff date...

Otherwise, just send the intent to sue and leave it at that.

It is due to come off in about 13 months. And I really dont know how bad it is affecting my scores, but, I was declined for AE and was told when I call for recon that the primary reason was this chargeoff. Needs to be off report before they will open account.
