I had occasion to call them today and from talking to the rep I found out why they sent out those no more CL increase letters. Downsizing. It seems they're "restructuring" and there are some layoffs in the works. So, they will no longer allow cl increase deposits. Whatever you limit is as of 1/31/02, that's it. He was real skittish when I asked if that mean no more new cards...he wouldn't say if they were going to stop accepting applications or not.

Ya I got one of those and was really disappointed. I have had them for one year and regularly send in payments to increase my credit line. I probably will cancel them in another couple of months if I can find a new card. hopefully without security deposits.
