I applied for a so called guaranteed Sterling silver secured card the other day. Fortunately, they got the application quickly. But there is an inquiry for today showing up on Experian. If it is supposedly guaranteed, why are they checking it? i do have some outstanding alleged debts and am now very nervous they may deny me :(

If I remember correctly Sterling offers a secured card up to 300% of your deposit. They may be pulling the report to see if you qualify for for anything over the 100%.

What I got said guaranteed account if I had a social security number and address, regardless of credit history and it would be 120% of deposit. So maybe they are considering more?
