Any opinions on the secured Sterling Trust card - seems ok - proc fee of $19 plus your savings desposit and they claim to report to all bureaus monthly. Or is there a better recommendation ?

    Thanks

Try First Consumers National Bank, they have no application fee, charge $39 a year and they are currently at 18.25% (I believe). Low minimum deposit of $100 and they will give you a credit line of UP TO 300% of your deposit. Expect only about 150%, however. You can add increments of $100 at any time to increase your credit line, or wait for a year when you are considered for a unsecured account. I have their Visa and I once had their Mastercard. Very good organization!

P.S. No, I do not work for them!

I agree that FCNB is one of the best, PAY ON TIME and some over the min. and you will receive increases and in one or two years it will be unsecured and they report to all 3 CRA and not as secured.
