    Get an attorney

    Jenz,

The confusion was in the reference to the courthouse, nodding, since clarified.

    Trent,

I'm in small town AZ, anyone that lives or has lived in ones knows both the pros/cons to the old boy system and their interchangeable offices -- it was the way you worded your first post and the subtle differences in wording make all the difference in the world, yes???? That's why everyone was asking for clarification. Definately clarified, I hope we can put that to bed now.

I'm curious what your 12/29 response said, that Butch said you wanted to head-off with a request for the certification??????

And, I am doing a happy dance that you've found a drooling attorney, indeed!!!!!!!! frothing at the bit, I hope for both of you, the attorney and you, and actually all of us -- it's ALL about their procedures, and they only pretend to follow what few they say there are.

To answer your own question, sometime last night, you are right, doesn't matter what the JP says, you definately want to be in a higher court!!!!!!! TU would LOVE for you to file in small claims.

    Sassy

    Get an attorney

I faxed over to CSC and to TU a letter stating that they had lied and had not verified as they said they did and I demanded deletion within 48 hours. This was about an hour into the beating I was taking and I was ready to give up. Luckly Butch stepped in and calmed all the fires. I took his advise and sent a demand for certification from TU.I called and they got the letter.
As for the attorney, the firm I got from someone on this board. edcombs, sounded like a good firm and they have done a lot of consumer protection work. They are sending me a letter so I have not retained them yet, Kinda wanted to hear whats next from the experts here.

    ok,

Sorry you considered it a beating, trent, surely you can see how important the wording differences are and you can't expect to get reliable advice or direction unless you are willing to be straight up and then still allow for the clarifications that communicating in only words sometimes requires.

What you posted the first time was misleading, what you said and what you meant were 2 different things -- based on the responses you received, I'm not following how that's a beating.

The only thing bad about getting it deleted at this point is you've not said whether you have any damages based on the TL having been reported or not.

You don't need certification from TU, that's the whole point, you already have proof there wasn't any.

BEATING only a figure of speach,
As for damages: denial for credit cards due to "public records" a car loan at 11.19 when everyone is getting 0% to 5%
a mortgage at 9% due to public records, sub prime credit cards at 19.9%

Denials for numerious loans and even a denial for a home security system to protect my home and family. Large deposit for home phone service.
Do any of these qualify for damages. I have just gotten used to living in a sub prime world and am not sure what is damages or just the way it is.

I have thick skin!!! and again, sorry for the confusion about the court clerk vs county clerk

I get confused as to what need to be done, Butch says demand certification, you say no, Butch am I asking for cert to increase the paper trail and rack up violations? do I not need it and just sue the pants off them?

This is way out of ny circle of knowledge

    We're cool, trent, no worries!!!!!!!!

    Good damages too, very cool!

You don't need anything from TU, I'm not disagreeing with Butch, you've a slam-dunking case already. More paper is more paper, I love paper, you don't need more is all I was saying.

    Re: Re: Get an attorney

i'm feeling a little slow right now and i couldn't see it in the posts before but is the tax lien valid and accurate (as reporting as satisfied)? (regardless of the CRAs lies about verifying it) and NO this doesn't have anything to do with morals just trying to figure damages. because if it is reporting correctly than i dont know if you can hold the CRAs accountable for subprime status - but i just dont know anymore, I JUST DONT KNOW!!!! :):) <<i hate working from home, i have so many things going on right now that i can't keep situations straight right now so i apologize in advance if i am chasing my own tail>>

    Re: Re: Get an attorney

    That too, yes.

Mainly, they've already lied to you about the cert.. Wouldn't it be good to have more lies, in writing?

Bottom line is; NO - you don't "need" this certification, and don't expect to get it. What I'm anxious to see is their response to your demand for it.

Suppose you demand it, and they write back and say ... oh ... for example ...

"We have it but we don't provide this material to consumers".

Wouldn't that just be one more lie on top of all the others?

Do you think that could potentially INCREASE the value of your case?

How do you think that would look if you got to a Jury?

There's no such thing as a "slam dunk" in a civil case. Let's just get you all the ammo you can possibly get. That's all I mean.

You're doing just fine Trent. There's only a couple atty's. we can suggest you NOT go to, but Combs is not one of em.

I do know that Combs can "seem" to salivate over a case and then come back and say "no thanks". I've seen em turn down some juicy stuff. lol

I'll be anxious to see what response you get to your cert. demand.

    Hang in there.

    :)

    Re: Re: Get an attorney

I have studied it very close,(rule of 42) As for the tax lien. It was a federal tax lien(IRS) for $2100. It was being reported as a state of Texas lien in the amount of 10,219. Also the file date and release date were the same. but they were reporting it as released in 2002 vice 1997. so I disputed it as not mine because it looks nothing like what it should have, diff dates and all. Numbers were different, court was different. I did not lie it just did not look like the release of lien I have a copy of.

Combs was recommended, could you maybe throw out someone else that I can get to take a look? I like second opinions.

For what reason did he turn down "juicy stuff"? Did he give a valid reason?

Rule of "72" explains why there's a strong propensity to "suppress" your score. It makes a hell of a lot more money for the creditors, but at your expense. But the creditors are the CRA's clients not us.

So yeah, we're in the middle of an uphill battle against a monster.

Atty's, kinda depends on what state you're in.

    Did you tell us?

Butch, maybe you didn't see my question.

Did Combs give a reason why he wouldn't take a slam dunk case?
