Ok I was reading a different credit forum (I'm a recovering information junkie) and I read a post about someone who had defaulted student loans and rehabed them by writing all of the 12 months checks at once and then telling Sallie Mae to deposit them all now instead of one at a time each month and they immediately took him out of default.

Has anyone ever heard of this before? I'll do it in a second if it will work.

    Thanks, (again)

Thaat is not the way it is normally done. Under Federal Guidelines, you are supposed to make 12 consecutive payments and then the guarantor will accept your application for rehabilitation. However, these are only guidelines and servicers/guarantors are allowed to do it diferently if they wish. All that being said, I have never heard of a servicer or guarantor that did it that way.

Good luck with that method. You will need to check with your current servicer before trying that route.
