I had 5 student loans that were all in default in 2003. I entered the rehabilitation program, paid for a year, and 2004 all 5 loans showed as never being late on my credit report. 2 years ago 3 negative items showed on my credit from ACS. Two of these show as charge offs the other shows late payments from 2001/2002 I've disputed these twice; both times they were confirmed as valid. As I understood the Student Loan Rehabilitation Act these were supposed to no longer appear. Does anybody have any advice?
Not sure, but I am about to enter the rehab program and was under the impression that all negative reproting would go away. If they only go away for a bit, then reappear, that is not good.
