I have a student loan from Sallie Mae that was opened in 8/95 one for $800 and the other for $ 1750.00. I disputed them with all the CRA's and they came back with a $0 balance. Now I know for a fact that they were all transferred back to the US dept of Education. On EQ and EX they are showing Sallie Mae 3rd Pty LSCF and Student Loan MKT Assn same amounts and same account #'s. I have disputed them as duplicates and they keep coming back verified. I called Equifax about it and they tell me that the accounts will show as transferred, which they are showing that. I don't know what else to do with them. I can't seem to get them off as reporting duplicate. Any suggestion as to what I can do ?? also, Experian is saying that these will continue on my report until 2008. The accounts were opened in 8/95. the last reported date on EX is 3/01. It seems that they are taking the last reported date for the 7 year mark. Is that right ?? kathy
it looks like they were transferred in december of 01., but I'm not sure if that would be the correct date. I'm just going by what I'm looking at off the CRA's. kathy
