I have posted several times about my student loan issues and have had some recent success with disputes. I am having an e-mail dialogue with the person at my university who is responsible for credit reporting. The loans the university is reporting will fall off my credit report 13 months from now. I have asked them to remove the negative notations on my credit report. I paid my loans through a consolidation loan last year. They were in default at the time and were not rehabbed. I did however just finish my 12the consecutive on time payment of my consolidated loan. I have asked the to consider a post consolidation rehab. Their response was that they would update the account as current and paid in full. That's all fine and dandy but I still would like the negatives removed. Anyone out there have a strategy for dealing with something like this. Is their anything in the FCRA or Higher ED Act that could help me out on this, or should I just make an empassioned plea? Any advice is appreciated, EdG
