i have a friend i'm trying to help and he's got some strange tradelines with student loans. Each report is different, but i wanted to list a sample to see if i could get some advice on this. I have no experience whatsoever on student loans. If i leave any info out, please let me know so i can add it! Thanks in advance... Here are the 6 neg tradlines. 1) USA Servicing Company Installment Original Amount - $6844 Opened - July 99 Date of Status - April 01 Description - Transferred To/Purchased by Another lender Last report says account transferred to another office Payment history shows all ok's within dates except Oct 99 shows 60 days late. Oddly enough, September 99 shows OK/Unknown. 2) Next tradeline is identical except original amount which shows $7529. 3) USA Funds Installment Credit Limit - 3037 Original Amount - 3037 Opened - August 98 Date of Status - May 04 Description - Transferred To/Purchased by Another lender Last report on May 2004 - Paid account/was a collection account, insurance claim or government claim or was terminated for default Payment history only shows April 04 and May 04. April 04 says chargeoff/collection/bankrupcy and May 04 says OK/Unknown 4) Identical to previous tradeline of USA Funds except 1st digit of account number is 2 instead of 1. 5) Identical to previous tradeline of USA Funds except 1st digit of account is 4 and balance is 2764. Also, under payment history, chargeoff is listed under May 04. April 04 is not listed. 6) Idential to previous tradeline of USA Funds except account number begins with 3 and credit limit is 2761, original amount is 3037. Also, this line has chargeoff listed under May 04, without April 04 being listed. Please help experts! Any advice I could pass onto him would be greatly appreciated. I work in a low income school I need to find a grant to help pay back my student loan. I have paid very little and now find that I got my degree to early in 98 and after Oct 2000. Teachers can apply for loan forgiveness depending on where they work. I work in a low income school and do not make much to cover my living expenses. I need to find something fast. Can anyone help me? Thank you so much in advance.
