I have a student loan with a 60 day late over a year ago. The loan has been transferred to another lender since that time and all payments are current. I'cve disputed the item with the credit bureaus, but all verified and the late pay remained. I've also contacted the lender and asked them to remove, but they said to send them my CR. Why would they ask for my CR? Any ideas on how to remove this??

Just write to whoever is reporting it and ask then to send you proof of the date due and the date paid.

What type of proof should I ask for? A copy of the check sent?

No. Anyways, I believe this may be a valid late payment, but I would still like to have it removed.

Not having the check makes it tough.

However if they can't prove both dates how do they know it was late?
